Show’s talent scouts to host new Spanish auditions in Benidorm*
X FACTOR talent scouts are off to Benidorm to hunt for contestants for the new series.
A team from ITV will be on the Costa Blanca for three days of open mic auditions for under-14s.
A source said: “The X Factor team travel far and wide in search of musical talent. Benidorm has a huge expat community, so the mobile audition tour encompasses that.”
An expat paper urged fans: “Who knows, maybe you are talented enough to get through to judges’ houses and perform in front of Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh.” Last year, Britain’s Got Talent visited the Spanish resort looking for acts.
The auditions come amid speculation over this year’s judging panel.
Reports have suggested Louis, 65, and Sharon Osbourne, 65, could be axed. Nicole Scherzinger, 39, has already quit.
The Mirror told yesterday how Sharon, said to be paid £2million per series, vowed to get “every last penny” if she is fired mid-contract. Her pal said: “It would cost £3.5million to pay them both off.”
Louis previously said pal Simon has assured him his job is safe.
