Ryanair defend a gap of 72% by pointing out how few women are pilots. They say it is a “feature” of the industry, as though women would struggle to fly a plane.

Even when there are more women, they get a raw deal.

In the NHS where 77% of the workforce is female, women are a minority of senior leaders.
