Check in for airport sale
THE contents of Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 1 are going under the hammer.
Everything from travelators and luggage carousels to seats and signs are up for grabs three years after the 50-year-old facility was shut down to make way for expansion of Terminal 2.
Heathrow asset managers Indassol say collectors will join commercial buyers for the April 21 sale at a Heathrow hotel.
Daniel Gray of auction firm CAGP said: “Some of the sale contents have significant historic value.”
