WELCOME TO THE DEEP STATE

In a world where dark forces make huge profits from conflicts s, who – if anyone – can we trust?

-

IT’S the stuff nightmares are made of. The idea that, behind the glossy exterior of respected global organisations and governments elected to run their countries, there are murky forces at work that are committed to the continuation of war.

Yet this is the premise behind the highly anticipated new eight part global espionage thriller Deep State. It questions who is really in control of world events and explores the lives of those determined to uncover the truth. The series has a stellar cast led by Olivier Awardwinning and BAFTAnominated actor Mark Strong. It also stars Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones), Karima McAdams (Vikings), Alistair Petrie (The Night Manager), Anastasia Griffith (Royal Pains, Damages), Lyne Renée (Split), and Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley). Strong plays ex-spy Max Easton whose past comes back to haunt him. Returning to the field to avenge the death of his son, he finds himself in a widespread conspiracy where the continuation of chaos in the Middle East is the primary objective. As Max’s world unravels, he questions what is real, who he can really trust – and whether his old life is about to destroy his new one. Deep State premieres on FOX at 9pm tonight.
