Max’s monumental disaster
LITTLE Max Morgan gets stuck in a 400-year-old monument, which had to be cut in half to free him. Max, seven, was wedged in for three hours after trying to recreate a snap taken last year at the National Trust’s Wightwick Manor. As he posed inside the stone, which came from the Palace of Westminster, his legs got trapped between two pillars. A specialist fire crew went to the site at Wolverhampton, West Mids, to cut him free and Max escaped with minor injuries. Dad George, 38, of Lower Penn, West Mids said: “They were great.”
The National Trust said: “Hopefully the monument is salvageable.”
