INJURY KO SEALS EXIT FOR CAN

EMRE CAN is out of tomorrow’s derby at Everton and has been ruled out for the rest of the season – and may even miss the World Cup.

The Liverpool midfielder’s back injury is far worse than originally thought and the Germany star could have kicked his last ball for the Anfield club. Can, who is out of contract this summer, was struggling to be fit for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester City. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed beforehand that he was ‘very close’ but it appears a relapse has put his plans for the rest of the season in jeopardy.
