Alfie’s family win reprieve
COMA baby Alfie Evans’s parents have won a reprieve after fearing care for his mystery brain condition would end today.
Tom Evans, 21, and Kate Jones, 20, yesterday had a meeting at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.
Judges had ruled medics can end the 22-monthold’s life support.
But MEP Steven Woolfe tweeted: “Hospital agreed not to end Alfie’s life today and will consider alternatives including treatment available in Italy.”
