Fear of rape victim as cop files are lost
A WOMAN who says she was raped after meeting a man on a dating website fears he could strike again after police lost evidence.
Humberside Police have been fined £130,000 after personal details including interview DVDs vanished.
Three years after the alleged rape, the woman, who cannot be identified, fears he is still a danger.
She says she was raped in his home in Teesside after talking to him on the dating website Zoosk.
The woman said: “I fear he could do the same thing to someone else. He didn’t seem remorseful and remained on the site.
“Cleveland Police asked to re-interview me but I can’t face reliving it.”
Humberside Police said they “deeply regret” any harm caused.
