Don’t let evil cabbie rapist spend £85k on plastic surgery

Victim’s plea after pervert’s sick boast

- BY PATRICK HILL

A VICTIM of black cab rapist John Worboys said he should have his money taken from him after he boasted he has £85,000 and wants to use it to get plastic surgery.

Worboys, 60, bragged about his plans for freedom to fellow prisoner Matthew Gallagher inside HMP Wakefield.

But one of his victims told the Mirror: “He should have all his money taken off him and it should be given to his victims.

“He’s had 10 years of not having to spend a penny. It’s disgusting.

“It’s not right that he could come out and live the life of Riley with all that money in the bank after what he’s done.”

She added: “He’ll spend it trying to seduce women. Mark my words, if he’s ever let out, he’ll go one step further next time and murder someone.”

The former cabbie – thought to have attacked up to 200 women – also told ex-inmate Gallagher he would take his own life if he was charged with more offences.

Gallagher said Worboys spoke about his friendship with Levi Bellfield, another of Britain’s worst serial sex attackers and described him as a “kindred spirit”. They bonded over their belief they’ve both been treated unfairly by the legal system. Gallagher spent four months alongside Worboys at the West Yorks prison, before being released last week after serving a 10-year sentence for robbery.

He told the Mirror: “He boasted he has £85,000 in the bank and was considering plastic surgery.

“He’s not a very well liked man inside and he knows he’ll get more abuse from the public on the outside. He said to me ‘they can do anything these days... I could even get a face-lift and get the glory days back’.”

Worboys, a former stripper turned cabbie, targeted young women in London’s West End.

He pretended to have won the Lottery and offered his customers champagne, wine and vodka to celebrate with him.

But the drinks had been laced with powerful sedatives.

He is serving an indeterminate sentence after being convicted in 2009 for attacks on 12 women.

Justice Secretary David Gauke has said he takes responsibility for the recent row over attempts to grant parole to Worboys.

He said a review would see the Parole Board become “more transparent than it is now”, following criticism over the way Worboys’ case was handled.
