DANILO: IT’S TIME TO PUT THIS BEHIND US AND FOCUS ON LIVERPOOL

MANCHESTER CITY must forget their derby defeat and focus on tomorrow’s Champions League showdown with Liverpool, according to defender Danilo.

Danilo said City, who trail Liverpool 3-0 from the first leg of their quarter-final tie, cannot afford a hangover from the derby loss when they face Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Etihad Stadium. “We win together and we lose together,” he said.

“It was not a failure of not taking our chances or not defending crosses, it’s just hard to explain. But now we must focus on Tuesday and put this behind us.

“The fans were amazing and have been fantastic all season and they can help us so much.

“If they can repeat that against Liverpool, it will give us a huge lift.”
