Lost moggie turns up 30 months later

- BY LUCY THORNTON

A FAMILY has been reunited with their beloved cat after it went missing two-and-a half years ago.

To their surprise, the runaway moggie was discovered 64 miles away.

Casper vanished from home, in Derby, in a storm, but thanks to a microchip, has now been found in Wakefield, West Yorks.

Owner Sinead Love, 28, said: “I got a phone call from a vet out of the blue... asking if I had a cat called Casper because it had just been handed into the vet.

“The vet said Casper had been handed in because the person who had been looking after him did not have the time any more to keep him.

“I was absolutely amazed. It’s a fantastic feeling and the children... were so thrilled.”
