Air particles asthma link
MILLIONS of Britons face a higher risk of asthma because air pollution is too high, researchers claim.
They showed a clear link for the first time between asthma in adults and exposure at home to fumes from traffic and factories.
In the UK, 44 of 51 cities failed World Health Organisation quality standards.
Anais Havet, of the French Institute of Health and Medical Research in Paris, said: “Pollution levels in Europe are too high to preserve lung health.”
