Former EastEnders star Ben Hardy has been busy since leaving his role as Ian Beale’s son Peter. After jetting to LA to star in X-Men: Apocalypse, he’s now back on our screens in this BBC adaptation of the classic Wilkie Collins mystery novel.

He plays teacher Walter Hartright who encounters a mysterious woman, thought to have escaped from an asylum, wandering in London.

The five-part psychological thriller also stars Dougray Scott and Game of Thrones’ Charles Dance.
