NEUROPHYSI­CS Therapy trains the brain and central nervous system to find a different way to do movement the body can no longer do.

Patients try mild exercises on weight machines and are told to close their eyes and relax, so the two sides of the brain communicat­e with each other.

The idea is that the brain works out another way to do the same action. Practition­er Ken Ware likens it to a tree blocking a road. Eventually drivers will work out another way to go around the blockage.
