SHOCK AS RAIKKONEN RUNS OVER A PITS MECHANIC AND BREAKS HIS LEG

FERRARI’S Kimi Raikkonen ran over one of his own mechanics in distressing scenes at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Finn drove off in the pits before mechanic Francesco Cigarini had got out of the way. Cigarini’s leg was bent backwards by the impact and it was confirmed he fractured his shinbone and fibula. Raikkonen (left) said: “My job is to go when the light says so. Hopefully, he’s OK.”
