WENGER I won’t need new strikers next season

ARSENE WENGER signalled his intent to remain in charge at Arsenal next season and claimed he already has the firepower needed to challenge for trophies.

Asked if he was happy with attacking options for the future, Wenger – whose position will be reviewed when the campaign finishes – said: “I believe we’ve a good side and there is no need to buy players in that level because of course we also have young and promising strikers.

“But we will see that at the end of the season.”

On Welbeck overcoming injury, he added: “What he’s done is exceptiona­l.”
