Robert Lindsay says the BBC’s move out of London and getting rid of its White City HQ is “shocking”. The actor – a huge BBC star in the past and on screen this week in ITV2 comedy Plebs – said: “I used to love White City. It was like a theatre. The BBC has lost its centre. I get asked on breakfast TV and, ‘I’m going to Manchester? No way’. Lindsay, left, added: “I find the demise of the BBC so terribly sad.”
