STORM
Klopp warning: We’re expecting to face thunder from Blues now
JURGEN KLOPP has warned his team to brace themselves for a Manchester City “thunderstorm”.
The Liverpool manager admitted he cannot quite believe the Reds will take a three-goal lead to the Etihad tonight, with the Champions League semi-final just 90 minutes away.
But he fears what is coming next as City, who have lost their last
two games, look to produce the perfect storm to blow away their English rivals.
“I saw the City v United game at the weekend and it was one of the best first halves I ever saw. It was like a thunderstorm,” the German said.
“You don’t need to remind my team that this is only half-time: the game is not over.” But Klopp pointed out that his side are in an incredible position after their Anfield blitz last week.
“We are in a 3-0 lead. If you had told me 10 days ago that this was possible, I’d have said, ‘I don’t think so’.”
