Jack, 9: Give to charity for 10th birthday
LITTLE Jack Thompson is forfeiting his 10th birthday party to raise money for charities instead.
The inspirational lad will hold a family fun day as he aims to hit his £20,000 target for good causes.
Chatterbox Jack, left blind from a cancerous brain tumour as a baby, has raised £15,500 so far through cake stalls, tombolas and raffles.
Jack, of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, said: “I will feel proud when I get the £20,000 and I know it will help a lot of people,”
He is raising money for cancer and cerebral palsy charities CLIC Sargent and Heel and Toe with his fun day on June 27.
Dee Taylor, of CLIC, said: “This boy breaks my heart – and I’ve met a lot of inspirational people here.”
