Jess hopes for a Sundae best

-

SOFT ground has persuaded Jessica Harrington to aim Supasundae at tomorrow’s two-and-ahalf-mile Betway Aintree Hurdle rather than the Ryanair Stayers Hurdle over an extended three miles.

“We entered him for both but, if the ground is soft, it’s easier for him to go for the two-and-ahalf-mile race,” Harrington said.

THE going is soft on all three of Aintree’s courses after further rain in Liverpool yesterday.

Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch said: “I am calling the ground soft on all courses. And on the Grand National course the going is approaching heavy at the Canal Turn.

“But most of the rain should now be behind us.”
