KAT’S READY TO TAKE THE CREAM
KATARINA Johnson-Thompson has been told to use these Games to create a winning habit.
The Liverpudlian is far and away the form athlete in the women’s heptathlon, which starts in the early hours of tomorrow.
But Toni Minichiello, who coached Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill to Olympic and world title glory, says she must not get complacent. “Kat is the outstanding favourite,” he said. “Winning is a habit and this can help her create that. “Jess won a Commonwealth bronze in Melbourne in 2006 and it proved a springboard to greater things. I’d like to think this could be the same for Kat.”
