FERNE McCann has taken her baby to visit her acid-throwing ex in jail – after the thug asserted his legal right to see his daughter.

Former TOWIE star Ferne made an eight-hour journey with five-monthold Sunday to see club attacker Arthur Collins, who is the girl’s father.

She had previously vowed Collins , 25, would never see Sunday again after visiting him at Belmarsh prison in South East London, when their daughter was just two weeks old.

But Collins took legal action and Ferne, 27, had to make the 440-mile round trip from Essex to see him at Full Sutton, York, where he is serving 20 years for throwing acid at clubbers.

A source said: “Ferne sought legal and professional advice, and it was a difficult decision she had to make.

“It has been a bitter pill for her to swallow. But she knows this is what her life will be like now, whether she likes it or not.”

She is believed to have driven north on March 25 after revealing Collins had sent a legal letter asserting his right to see his daughter.

Collins was jailed for throwing acid on 22 clubbers at the Mangle club in Dalston, East London last year, with FIGHT Collins insisted on seeing girl 16 revellers suffering serious burns. Ferne, who was pregnant with Collins’ baby, dumped him after the attack.

She said recently: “It is a huge thing to have to make decisions you are forced into. I have to think of Sunday and what is best for her. It hasn’t been an easy decision and some people may think I’m wrong.

“If Arthur has to see Sunday, then I want absolute control of the situation. If she is going into a prison I want to be with her and know she’s OK. I’m not going to just drop her off and hope for the best.”

She denied rumours she is still in a relationship with Collins, adding: “There is no way back.”
