ISIS pair’s stupidity

So, I read that two members of the Islamic State cell dubbed The Beatles say they want to be tried in a British court and are missing fish and chips (Mirror, April 10).

Tough. They decided to fight in Syria and should not be allowed into this country. If they were so concerned about missing fish and chips they shouldn’t have gone. No one forced them to go to Syria to kill. They must suffer the consequences of their actions. Mick Streets Chesterfield, Derbys

Liverpool’s Your Housing Group were quite correct to issue ASBOs to two residents of a tower block for putting plants in the hallway (Mirror, April 9). As a retired Fire Safety Officer, I’m well aware of the danger of communal clutter. If anyone were tripped up by it, the management would be responsible.
