Meals out are a non-starter
THE hunger for eating out has dropped dramatically in 20 years, a study reveals.
Asked about their last meal, 56% of diners said it was good value, compared with 69% in 1995.
Satisfaction with service fell from 69% to 56% and the rate of those happy with the decor was down from 57% to 48%.
Researcher Professor Alan Warde, from the University of Manchester, said: “People are generally less satisfied with their last restaurant meal.”
