Female Russian ultras warm up for World Cup
ENGLAND fans could face gangs of marauding female hooligans at this summer’s World Cup.
Disturbing footage shows organised battles between women-only ultra gangs in Russia.
Some join male firms for mass brawls in woods and on industrial estates.
Images of fighting females have appeared on sites dedicated to Russian ultras, such as OFNEWS, and shared on YouTube.
One video has attracted tens of thousands of views, with comments like: “It’d be fun to see 150 women fighting drunk English.”
Supporters from Zenit Saint Petersburg were filmed kicking and punching CKSA Moscow fans. Another video reveals women being goaded to attack Brits travelling to Russia for the World Cup, which starts on June 14.
Deputy Chief Constable Mark Roberts, of the National Police Chiefs’ Council, led our policing operation at Euro 2016 and will do again in Russia.
FEARS
He fears for the 10,000 travelling England fans this summer, saying: “There is a hooligan issue in Russia.
“It operates at an extreme level of violence.
“There clearly is a potential issue.”
