Class act, girls

After learning about the suffragettes, my seven-year-old daughter and friends in her Y3 class have set up a group called Women Ladies Girls.

Their first act is planned to be a benefit gig raising money for the “ladies at the BBC who are not getting paid properly”.

While suggesting the money raised could possibly go to ‘ladies’ who need it more (eg cleaners at the BBC, or carers), I can only applaud WLG’s youthful commitment to #PayMeToo and fighting the gender pay gap.
