MISSING YOU, MO
This week, on the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, when peace in Northern Ireland once again feels so fragile, I have been remembering interviewing legendary Northern Ireland secretary Mo Mowlam at her house in 2005 shortly before she died.
Her tumour was making Mo lose her grip on words, so we ended up doing a jigsaw together. Thirteen years on, I know how much her family must miss her, but I can’t stop thinking of how much politics desperately misses her too.
