Max: Easy to blame me..

MAX VERSTAPPEN claims Lewis Hamilton blamed him for their collision in Bahrain last weekend because he is young.

But Hamilton tried to diffuse the row by seeking out his rival in the pit lane and shaking his hand as they prepared for the China Grand Prix.

Asked why Mercedes’ four-time world champion had blamed him, the Red Bull star, 20, replied: “Because it’s quite simple and easy to blame the younger driver. That’s the only way I can see it.”

But Hamilton, 33, said: “I shook his hand and it’s all in the past.”
