Kane ‘will learn from goal row’

- BY DARREN LEWIS

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has revealed Harry Kane is “disappointed” at the storm he has caused over his goal against Stoke.

Social media exploded and Mo Salah’s Liverpool team-mates have mocked Kane for claiming the effort against the Potters that looked to have been scored by Christian Eriksen.

Kane is believed to be on a seven-figure bonus from his boot sponsors if he wins the Golden Boot, but the Tottenham and England striker is currently four behind Salah’s total of 29 goals with six games left.

Spurs boss Pochettino said: “Harry is disappointed because he never wanted to create this.”

Former Liverpool hitman John Aldridge even claimed Kane’s actions will now inspire Salah to make the Golden Boot his own.

But Pochettino said: “I don’t believe Salah needs this situation to be inspired.

“Harry is going to learn a lot from this. He never thought this situation was going to go on to such big things when he was so certain he touched the ball.

“Tottenham fans will back Harry, but other fans will kill him. People have opinions, that is normal.”
