Vicente a doubt for National
PAUL NICHOLLS will talk to Vicente’s owner Trevor Hemmings before ruling on the nine-yearold’s participation in tomorrow’s Grand National at AIntree.
Dual Scottish Grand National Vicente, who fell at the first at Aintree 12 months ago, is a 40-1 chance with William Hill.
But Nicholls, admitting to fears over the rainsoftened ground, said: “I want to have a chat with Trevor — he is obviously very keen to run.
“If we had to take him out, we’ll make the decision so someone else gets in.”
If Vicente is withdrawn before today’s 1pm deadline, his place will go to Thunder And Roses.
