Lamb for the chop thinks she’s a puppy

A LAMB saved from the slaughterhouse reckons she’s a dog after living with her rescuer’s four hounds.

Little Nellie goes for walks on a lead to the pub and even to doggy daycare.

Mum-of-three Gail Geldard, 51, snuggles the month-old lamb in woollies to keep her warm.

The mental health worker said: “Cavaliercross Jake is especially fond of her and will lick and clean her face. I’m sure she thinks she’s a dog.”

Hubby Darren, 47, came back from a trip to “a bit of a shock” on hearing bleats.

Gail, of Matlock, Derbys, admitted Nellie had put her right off eating lamb: “It just doesn’t feel right.”

Doggy daycare owner Shaun Jordan said: “We love how she bounces around the room.”
