Ibe’s Ed tip for an old pals axe

-

BOURNEMOUTH boss Eddie Howe has backed Jordon Ibe to bring old club Liverpool crashing to earth after their Champions League heroics.

Winger Ibe (above) left Merseyside in 2016 to join Howe’s men in a thenclub record £15million deal and could be just the man to cause an upset on his return to Anfield today.

Howe said: “I think Jordon has got that mix of pace and technical ability which is always in demand when you are coaching in the Premier League.

“In tight areas when defences are compact, he has got the ability to find a really good pass – and he is a really good dribbler with the ball as well.”

Howe has steered Bournemouth to 10 points clear of the relegation zone and paid tribute to the impact Ibe, 22, has had on their survival bid. The Cherries boss added: “I’ve not worked with too many players with that kind of ability and that kind of potential to be real match

winners.”
