GOLD TOP AGAIN FOR TIZZARD

-

TOPHAM CHASE ULTRAGOLD again rose to the challenge of the Grand National fences with a repeat victory from Colin Tizzard stablemate Shanahan’s Turn.

But whereas the 10-year-old scored at 50-1 last year, this time Harry Cobden’s mount, who made virtually all of the running, was returned at 14-1.

“He jumped from fence to fence — he enjoys this a lot more than handicaps at other courses,” said 19-year-old Cobden (above).

“I think I enjoyed that more than last year. There were no horses around me and I was able to take it all in.”
