Ticket fury at Monkeys gigs

TICKETS for Arctic Monkeys’ first tour in five years sold out in 60 seconds – then appeared online at 30 times their value.

The band had warned people could be turned away from gigs if the buyer was not present.

But that did not stop tickets at £70 for dates in September being offered for between £352 and £2,200 on Viagogo.

Angry fans called the situation a “shambles”. One tweeted: “I hope all ticket touts stand on a plug.”
