Cash ‘n’ grab as loot blows away in wind

- BY JEREMY ARMSTRONG

A HAPLESS robber who stuffed a wad of cash down his trousers after a raid ended up chasing it about a street when it fell out and got caught by the wind.

The man and his accomplice had robbed a travel agents, demanding money from members of staff.

Police released footage of their getaway on foot in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, on March 17, in a bid to identify the pair.

One of the men struggles to walk and hold on to the cash, which flies off around him. Cars pull up as he runs about the road trying to catch the notes.

Det Con Phil Scargill has appealed for witnesses. He said the men had threatened innocent people in the travel agents, describing their actions as “utterly unacceptable”.
