SEX is an important part of most relationships and a lack of intimacy can put a strain on even the most solid partnerships. But Viagra Connect can help take the worry out of sex and achieving an erection, so all couples need to think about is relighting that romantic spark.

Erectile dysfunction is a common problem that affects thousands of men – and yet two-thirds1 do nothing about it and, of those who do, almost three-quarters1 wait two years before seeking help.

Men can feel embarrassed to discuss the condition and as a result it is misunderstood, and in many cases erectile dysfunction goes untreated.

Physical issues are the most common cause of the condition and it happens more frequently as men get older.

However, it can also be a warning sign of other underlying health issues2 such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart conditions, so the earlier someone has a check-up to determine the cause, the better.

In some cases the cause is psychological, issues3 such as depression, emotional problems and anxiety can have a negative effect on a man’s ability to achieve an erection, and certain medications can also be a factor.

AVAILABLE NOW

Viagra Connect is now available from your pharmacist without a prescription in packs of four and eight 50mg tablets – a dosage which works in 74%4 of men – and contains the same active ingredient as the prescription-only Viagra, Sildenafil.

Viagra Connect can be purchased by men aged over 18, who are unable to achieve or maintain an erection hard enough for sexual intercourse, who are fit enough for sexual intercourse and not prevented from having it for other reasons, such as other medications. The recommended dose of Viagra Connect is one 50mg tablet with water approximately an hour before sexual activity, but it can work in 30 minutes. Viagra Connect will enable men to achieve an erection in response to sexual stimulation up to four hours after taking it. For most men, Viagra Connect will work the first or second time they use it but some may need to use the product several times before achieving a response. It is safe for continued use, but should only be taken once daily. Men are advised to book a checkup with their GP within six months of their first supply. A pack of four costs £19.99 (RSP) and an eight-pack is £34.99 from LloydsPharmacy.
