ITV, 8pm We’re used to seeing Baroness Karren Brady assessing wannabe bosses on The Apprentice. Now the First Lady of Football is going it alone, meeting plucky entrepreneurs launching start-ups.
She’ll hear about their plans and ambitions for the businesses. Then, by the magic of TV, we’ll see Karren return, you’ve guessed it, a year later to hear how things have panned out. Will her fledgling high-flyers be cracking open champagne or eating humble pie?
This week, Karren meets Sarah, who’s keen to break into the lucrative wedding market, but rather worryingly takes her business advice from a medium she thinks has messages from her grandfather!
Then there’s Thomas. He’s created a mug that will keep your coffee hot, but at a very high price. The inventor is funding the project with online poker wins. But we’d bet Karren thinks he’s backing a loser with this scheme.
