Saint’s so well after nasty fall
SAINT ARE is on the mend after being brought down at the Chair in the Randox Health Grand National on Saturday.
Tom George’s 12-year-old was reported to have spent a “comfortable night” at Aintree’s racecourse stables yesterday.
The Gloucestershire trainer said yesterday: “He had a comfortable night — they looked after him well at Aintree.
“His lad stayed up with him, and the vets checked him every few hours. He’s eaten his breakfast and is ready to come home.”
But George’s stable jockey Adrian Heskin will be out of action for a few weeks after breaking his arm in a fall from Rocklander in the Betway Handicap Chase, which preceded the National, on Saturday.
“He’ll be out for a while,” said George. “He’s broken a bone in his arm and he’s having surgery today.
