ELEMENTARY FOR WATSON

-

SALFORD boss Ian Watson saw his side win away for the first time in 11 months, then insisted: I was never worried.

They scored 12 points in the first 12 minutes and 10 in the final eight.

But for hapless Huddersfield it was an eighth defeat in 11 games, with captain Danny Brough sent off for verbally abusing a touch judge in the 77th minute. “We’re confident wherever we play,” said Watson. “We’ve met good teams away from home and been really competitive. So, that wasn’t a problem.

“But I suppose it’s nice to get that monkey off our back.”
