‘Stop robots from killing’

ROBOTS must not develop the “autonomous” ability to hurt, deceive or kill human beings, peers warn.

Ethics must be built into developing technology, says the Lords Artificial Intelligence Committee.

Its report stressed AI should not be allowed to diminish humans’ rights.

It said: “Many jobs will be enhanced by AI, many will disappear and many will be created.”
