Outsourcers take big slice
PRIVATE firms running outsourced public services are increasingly lining shareholders’ pockets, a TUC study shows today.
Dividends have soared since 2010, reaching £642million in 2016 for the seven firms – a rise of 67%. Yet profits have fallen 31%.
TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady said: “We need to get back to running public services for the common good.”
