Tory MP ‘faked expenses invoices’
A TORY MP is facing a police probe over claims he fabricated invoices for furnishing his constituency office.
Brecon MP Chris Davies admitted a “technical breach” of expenses rules but denies he tried to claim money to which he was not entitled. The allegations were referred to police by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which oversees MPs’ expenses.
Mr Davies, 50, is alleged to have forged two invoices totalling £700 to avoid a single “excessive” claim.
