BBC2, 8pm Cooking competitions are a winning recipe and in this twist on the idea, artisan food producers compete to impress the customers in a Yorkshire Dales farm shop, along with two judges who are industry experts.

Tonight, chef Tom Kerridge introduces creators of preserves, pickles and spreads.

On offer there’s runner bean chutney made by mum and daughter Pam and Emily in Herefordshire, while Louise from Brighton has given up a law career to focus on her Filipino papaya pickle.

Sara uses produce from her London garden to make her apple and chilli jelly and completing the line-up are Linzi and Jason from Dorset. They’ve lost 10 stone between them, changing their diet to include more protein in the form of their own peanut butter. But now their waistlines have shrunk, can they make their bank balance grow?

The winner will be chosen by the judges, but during two days of sales in the farm shop, the no-nonsense locals won’t hold back with their opinions.
