Kids before new record please, Pep

-

MANCHESTER CITY could easily win their next five games and break the 100-point barrier.

It would be an incredible achievement if they did.

But I think manager Pep Guardiola, rather than worry about a points record, should give Phil Foden and a couple of the other young City lads a run in the last five games.

When Guardiola and his men report back to begin preparations for their title defence in July, what will have the most relevance?

Will it be the fact City broke a points record or the fact Foden (above) and others scored a couple of goals, got plenty of minutes on the pitch, and felt a bigger part of the squad than ever before?

It’s an absolute no-brainer.
