Filming for series eight of Call The Midwife has just kicked off.

Jenny Agutter, who plays Sister Julienne in the hit BBC1 period drama, signalled the return to work by posting photos of herself holding a clapper board yesterday.

We expect to see another Christmas special before TV’s favourite nurses and friends return for a full series at the start of 2019.
