Kremlin ‘foul play on Cup’
DAVID Cameron last night suggested Kremlin corruption played a role in Russia winning the bid for this summer’s World Cup.
The ex-PM told the Chatham House think-tank corruption was “a blockage to so many of the things that we wanted to achieve”.
He added: “We wanted to lead the world in great sporting events that bring people together.
“Yet how did Russia end up winning the bid for the 2018 World Cup? I’ll let you fill in the blanks on that.”
