Nicola Walker found wearing high heels a challenge as she played divorce lawyer Hannah in new BBC1 six-part drama The Split.

She said of Hannah: “Because she’s at the high end there’s an expectation in the way she presents herself. I do not possess any of those clothes.

“When I’m put in high heels, I have an ability – a real skill – to clip the back of my heels and send a beautiful high shoe flying.”
