Sky Living, 10pm If you’re a fan of Shonda Rhimes’ smash hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, which has been doing the business since 2005, you won’t want to miss its second spin-off, Shonda’s latest homage to heroes in uniform.

The show is set at a fire station near Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, with Jason George jumping from one to the other, as his character Ben Warren leaves medicine behind to become a rookie firefighter. At the centre of the

HOT STUFF Station 19 crew drama is Andrea “Andy” Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz), whose father is captain of the station and whose boyfriend is lieutenant.

But when Captain Pruitt Herrera is seriously injured at a fire, Andy is forced to step up. It’s not going to be easy, but as her pal Ryan tells her, “You’re about as badass as they come. You’ve been training your entire life.”

That line sparks a flame and soon the pair are getting hot and heavy, setting our girl up for the obligatory romantic dilemma.
