Brexit blast by the Lords
A KEY Brexit vote went against the Government in the House of Lords yesterday as peers voted to support a customs union after the UK leaves the EU.
The amendment, which was proposed by crossbencher Lord Kerr, was supported by Lib-Dem, Labour and Tory peers.
Lord Kerr said: “It will be very hard not to see a fall in exports if our trade with the European Union is made more complicated.”
Labour’s Keir Starmer said: “Theresa May must now listen.”
