Benefits fear mum suicide
A STRUGGLING single mum hanged herself over fears of losing her benefits under the Universal Credit scheme, an inquest heard.
Amy Nice, 21, had severe depression and anxiety after being diagnosed with kidney disease, and felt pressured to find work.
Amy, of Coppull, Lancs, said in a note last October she could not “see a way forward”. Coroner James Newman said cash issues worried her “massively”.
Verdict: Suicide.
